Two articles from an unidentified source on the Hong Kong Pavilion in 1970 Osaka Expo. One article is on the modern sculptures inside the Hong Kong Pavilion, which are selected via an open call for an artwork that exemplifies the idea of 'social progress'. Artists who were selected include Kan Tai Keung (first prize), Van Lau (first runner-up), and Lui Loping (second runner-up). The other article focuses on the pavilion's architectural design, which incorporates sails and Sanpan. The Hong Kong Pavilion includes sections that showcase Hong Kong's crafts, modernised industries, diverse architecture from commercial buildings in Central to 700-year-old villages in New Territories. The Pavilion also has facilities such as Chinese Opera entertainment, dance performances and a Cantonese restaurant.
