Catalogue of solo exhibition by Ye Yongqing at Fun Art Space, Beijing in 2007. The catalogue features Ye's recent paintings of scribbled birds together with his earlier works created since the 80s. June wrote, 'In late 1999, Ye Yongqing started to reduce the content in his works, extracting portions and symbols from his scribbled works. Ye Yongqing's scribblings are the synthesis of control and crudeness, an emotional catharsis under rationality, bringing together the easygoing aesthetic of ancient scholars with contemporary concepts.' The catalogue includes Ye's chronology and biography.
