Taipei Fine Arts Museum organised the annual 2-28 art exhibitions from 1996-1999, sponsored by the Taipei City Government. For this third exhibition, the Museum invited an art historian, Prof. Chong-Ray HSIAO as the curator, in order to delve deeper into and to reflect on the variety of contemporary Taiwanese approaches to the history of the 2-28 Incident. Twenty-six local artists had participated in this exhibition, and the exhibits varied from oil-paintings to digital prints. The catalogue includes an essay by Chongray Hsiao and a brief biography of each artist in Chinese. With forewords by the mayor of the Taipei city and the director of the Museum.
