Catalogue of Hong Lei's solo exhibition at Zhu Qizhan Art Museum in 2006, featuring works created between 1998 and 2005. Gu Zheng wrote, 'Fine art, serves as the starting point for Hong Lei as an artist. That's why he took no burden in picking up the medium of photography and also that's why he wasn't expected to carry out his photographic practice in the way an ordinary photographer does. From his standpoint, photography is the stimulation and activation of fine art, cultivating new possibilities for further imagination and creation.' Artist biography is provided in the present catalogue.
