This exhibition catalogue features the 6 finalists considered for the first Asia Art Award (A3). A3-Asia Art Award and exhibition, held at Soma Musuem of Art in Seoul, Korea was arranged through a network of fifty curators and critics who are working around Asia to discover leading new contemporary artists. A3 tries to encourage more active communication between contemporary art and the public by introducing diverse artist promotion systems, including publications, mass media, and artist residency programs. Organized by CJ Culture Foundation, Alternative Space LOOP, and Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the exhibition ran from April 9 through June 6, 2010.
