This article reports the acquisition of nine works by acclaimed artists Wong Qingsong and Hai Bo by the J. Paul Getty Museum, which is the museum's first major acquistion in the field of contemporary Chinese photography. The artworks were acquired from AW Asia, a private organization in New York that promotes the field of Chinese contemporary art.
