The gallery system of the contemporary art world in China is still developing.  Some local artists are reluctant to be bound by an 'gallery-artist-agreement'  which then leads to work by the same artist appearing in different galleries at the same time.  Additionally, there are some artists who bypass the gallery system altogether and sell directly out of their studios.   Gallery directors Nataline Colonello, Brian Wallace and Fabien Fryns are quoted.
