New York’s Museum of Modern Art has bought 23 photographs by eight Chinese contemporary artists, including Rong Rong, Huang Yan (whose work is pictured), and Ai Weiwei. Its acquisition has been controversial because the photographs were acquired through Larry Walsh rather than the usual dealer.
