Published on the occasion of two Chinese exhibitions at the 22nd International Biennial of São Paulo from October to December 1994. 'The Remaking of Mass Culture' features works by Political Pop artists Yu Youhan, Li Shan, and Wang Guangyi, while 'Wakefulness and The Weightless Present' features works by Cynical Realists Zhang Xiaogang, Fang Lijun, and Liu Wei. Both exhibitions were curated by Chang Tsong-zung. This catalogue includes brief introductions to the artists and their works.
