'The Chichi Art Installation Art Exhibition' was held at Taiwan Museum of Art (TMoA), Taichung from September to October 2000, on the first anniversary of the 921 Earthquake in 1999. Artists were invited to create site-specific works addressing the social, historical, humanist and psychological issues raised by the disaster for TMoA's Sculpture Garden, an open space where people had sought safety and refuge after the initial tremors.
