This exhibition was held from 11 May - 25 June 1986 at Taipei Fine Arts Museum as the first ever exhibition introducing Japanese contemporary art to Taiwan. Coordinated by Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, this exhibition showcased the development of contemporary art in Japan, from Gutai and Mono-ha to conceptual art which was then emerging in Japan.

With prefaces by the director of Taipei Fine Arts Museum Martha Su-Fu and the director of Hara Museum of Contemporary Art Toshio Hara. Short biographies of the artists are also provided.
