'While media art seem to have acquired citizenship in the contemporary art field today, it is not a total bright future lying before us, ie its leased facilities are being scaled back or even closed, or some people are questioning its value as art, and its storage stability. This exhibition aims to study issues inherent in the current media art realm, and also to explore the relevant movements, introducing art works by the leading media artists from East Asia.' (Takuo Komatsuzaki 'About Media Art') Catalogue essay is provided only in Japanese. Biographies of the artists in both English and Japanese are also included.
