This booklet introduces one of the academic programmes of the 9th Gwangju Biennale, 'Workstation 1: Self-Organisation as Ethic', held at Yongbong Culture Center of Chonnam National University and Artsonje Center, 14 to 15 February 2012, providing an overview of the international symposium, with a list of the multiple topics, abstracts, and speaker biographies. 'Workstation 1' aims to explore the aesthetic function of biennials as self-organisation, and to revitalise the concept of 'Roundtable' — the theme of Gwangju Biennale 2012 — by engaging the public audience in a dialogue.
The participating speakers are listed as 'Other Practitioners'.
