Catalogue of Lu Shoukun's solo exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of Art in 2002. Lu Shoukun moved to Hong Kong in 1948 from China. Already an accomplished brush painter in the traditional style, Lu began to experiment with the traditional media to find new forms and new expressions. His success won him the recognition as one of Hong Kong's most important artists. He was acknowledged as the founder of the "New Ink Movement" in Hong Kong. The exhibition was divided into two parts, "The Origin" featured Lu Shoukun's early works when he remained under the influences of traditional masters; and "In Search of Zen" showcased Lu's mature style of painting. With introduction by Christina Chu and chronology of the artist.
