This is the catalogue of the above exhibition in which half of the artists are based in Taiwan while the other half are living in America. According to the curator, 'Nexus: Taiwan in Queens' has been designed to capture a transition, a change, a transformation, or an inner mind adjustment and new life adaptation relating to the immigrant process, hence investigating, from one perspective or another, outsiders who are gradually assimilated. So, it does not offer a historical account of the development of the Taiwanese community in Queens, but instead uses the work of Taiwanese artists to address the issues of immigration, relocation, isolation, assimilation and transformation. Artist biographies and statements are included. With foreword by Tom Finkelpearl, Director of the Queens Museum of Art.
