Artist and Critic Oscar Ho comments on the mentality of artists. He believes the so-called 'short-sightedness' of the artists is not simply a problem of the artists, but also of the environment. According to Ho, this might not be a bad thing in itself. 

何慶基就藝術家「見步行步」之議發表意見,認為藝術家的所謂「短視」,並非其個人問題,當時的社會環境亦應在考慮之列。何氏同時認為這種特性並不一定是一件壞事。
