This is the catalogue for Liu Kuo-sung’s solo exhibition at the Taipei Fine Art Museum held in 1990. Being an art educator, a leading painter and an advocate for modern Chinese painting, Liu Kuo-sung has made considerable contribution to the development of contemporary Chinese ink painting. His style has encountered a few changes over the past decades. This evolution of his art is studied in-depth in the essay written by Professor Li Chu-tsing. The works presented here were created during the period 1952-1989. Information regarding awards received by Liu, exhibitions held, and a selected bibliography are also included.
