Contemporary Indian Art Collector Anupam Poddar will no longer to be able to dodge the limelight once the Devi Art Foundation opens.   Poddar and his mother Lekha have amassed about 7,000 works in total, around 850 of which are by contemporary and modern artists, which will be housed in the Devi Art Foundation in Gurgaon.  Some works acquired by Poddar are private commissions, and all are works that Poddar has considered installing in his living space.  Devi will also host museum-quality exhibitions on view for months at a time so people have the time to visit and revisit the shows.  The inaugural Devi Art Foundation show, Still Moving Image opens on September 1, 2008.
