The present publication documents the performances, happenings, interventions and temporary installations by the graduates of the MFA program of Bauhaus-Universitat Weimar. The MFA program aims to encourage students to employ the urban or natural environment as the work venue. The students focus on the socio-political conditions of the citizens and discern interconnected systems in the city. They investigate citizens' daily transactions, and develop ideas for temporary interventions in the public space. The publication also provides notes on the symposium entitled The Unmastered Past in Contemporary Art held at the University in 2004. With introduction by Liz Bachhuber.
