'Haegue Yang's approach to her art in these works is still distinguished by a particular interest in the language of abstraction and, more specifically, in how the rhetoric of formal abstraction might enable the artist to speak in a self-supporting language about abstractly conceived complex states of affairs in the world. Using the formal means of everyday materials and objects such as blinds, metal constructions, light bulbs, perforated metal sheets, and spotlights, Yang creates an exhibition situation in which the visitor is called upon to face the plurality of possible interpretations.' (p. 15)

Published on occasion of the exhibition 'Siblings and Twins' (2008), this monograph features 6 exhibitions of Haegue Yang from 2008 and offers detailed commentaries by art critics and curators. Photographs from the exhibitions are included.
