The first Bangkok International Art Festival (February-March 2007), is much smaller than the initial plans which called for 100 artists.  Because of the "political turbulence," the art festival features only five foreign artists and two Thai artists:  Mayumi Lake (U.S.) , Keiko Itakura (Japan), Jakkai Siributr (Thailand), Marina Paris (Italy), audio artist Philip Jeck (U.K.),  graffiti artist Carlos Contente (Brazil), and Top Changtrakul who choreographed the elephant visit to Sukhumvit and Silom roads.
