This catalogue was published in conjunction with a collaborative performance by Bandu Manamperi & G.R. Constantine,shown in November 2006 at Lionel Wendt Art Gallery. Manamperi and Constantine are considered pioneering exponents of performance art in Sri Lanka. In his essay, Jagath Weerasinghe considers the history of performance art before focusing his discussion on the re-entry of the male body/nude into Sri Lankan visual art in recent years.
