The works in this exhibition catalogue represent the culmination of Yang Yanping’s development over the last twenty years. Yang is well known for her paintings of lotus flowers, landscapes and calligraphic pictograms. The forms, shapes, textures, colours and lines in this series of works reflect Yang’s own unique sensibilities, as well as, the influence of both traditional Chinese painting and abstract painting of the West. This catalogue includes a biography of the artist.
