It offers the first retrospective of Luis Chan (1905-1995), a pioneer in Hong Kong modern art, tracing his artistic career spanning between 1938 and 1986. Featured are one hundred works — including his early realist paintings, experimental paintings between the late 1950s and early 1970s, as well as the celebrated body of works incorporating international avant-garde art — together with publications, documentaries and photographs.
