'TRANSPORTASIAN' is a photography exhibition at the Singapore Art Museum featuring contemporary artists working in Southeast Asia. It introduces different approaches to photography, from its documentary form to its incorporation into installation and new media works. Artists were invited to submit projects that respond to the concepts of transport and Asia. While the notion of "transport" can simply be described as the physical movement of people and goods from one place to another, it can also be taken as a metaphor for transcending reality. The exhibition is organized into four sections—Time, Space, Action and Fiction. Images in this catalogue are accompanied by descriptions, artist statements and biographies.
