This is the catalogue for Xu Bing’s one-man show at the National Gallery in Prague. Two installations were exhibited, namely the famous Tianshu (A Book from the Sky) and Classroom Calligraphy. The present publication provides an introduction to the artist and two of the most significant works in the Chinese art scene of the 1990s. A biography of Xu Bing is also included.
