Kasauli Art Centre Sculpture Workshop

The Sculpture Workshop was held for three weeks in the month of October in 1984. Participants included K. Madhusudhan, K.P. Krishnakumar, Alex Mathew, Khushbash Shehrawat, Ashokan Poduval, N.N. Rimzon, Prithpal Singh Sehdev Ladi, Seigfried Neuenhausen, Vivan Sundaram, N. Pushpamala, and Ranjana Thapleyal. The Sculpture Workshop in 1984 culminated into a significant exhibition at the Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi, in 1985 curated by Vivan Sundaram. The show, titled 'Seven Young Sculptors', represented most of the artists who had participated in this Workshop.

Kasauli Art Centre was founded in 1976 by artist Vivan Sundaram in Kasauli, a hill station in North India. The Centre is known to have organised artists camps, international artist residency programmes, seminars and theatre workshops, all designed to explore common grounds between artists, film-makers, critics, architects, playwrights and performers.
