This document is a typed manuscript on the basis of which artist K.G. Subramanyan delivered the introductory talk at the seminar 'Art and Craft Panorama in India' at Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, on 12 March 1988.

This talk was organised during K.G. Subramanyan's stay in Oxford in 1988 when he had his solo exhibition titled 'K.G. Subramanyan: Fairy Tales of Oxford and Other Paintings' at the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford. The exhibition was organised by curator David Elliott, and ran from 21 February 1988 to 3 April 1988. Subramanyan had spent over two months in Oxford that year as Christiansen Fellow at St. Catherine's College, Oxford.
