Typed manuscript of which artist K.G. Subramanyan presented at the international seminar 'Tradition: A Continuous Renewal' organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Delhi, in 1987.
The text was subsequently published under the same title in Vol. 11 of the magazine Nandan, Santiniketan, in 1991.
The essay was also published under the title 'The Sense of Tradition in a Non-traditional World' in K.G. Subramanyan's The Magic of Making: Essays on Art and Culture by Seagull Books, Calcutta, in 2007.
