The text was later published in the second volume of Dimensions of Indian Art: Pupul Jayakar Seventy which was edited by Lokesh Chandra and Jyotindra Jain in cooperation with Agam Prasad, and was published by Agam Kala Prakashan, Delhi, in 1986.

The essay was reprinted in K.G. Subramanyan's The Magic of Making: Essays on Art and Culture published by Seagull Books, Calcutta, in 2007.
