This folder contains ephemeral materials collected by Salima Hashmi, dating mostly from the 1950s through 1960s, from a wide range of organisations in Pakistan’s art ecology. Hashmi played key roles in some of these organisations—including the National College of Arts, where she was a student, and later Lecturer and Principal. Other materials are from her visits to exhibitions and events within Lahore and beyond, such as those in Indus Gallery. Also included is a research listing of exhibitions and activities from Rohtas Gallery (1981–2004) in Islamabad, where Hashmi co-curated exhibitions with the architect Naeem Pasha for over two decades.
