Three letters from the Lismore Regional Art Gallery to Bonney Bombach and Natasha Kraevskaia.

'Crosscurrents' was a collaborative project by mail between six Vietnamese and four Australian artists. It provided an example of how a private initiative between two individuals that begins as a kind of art entertainment, an artists’ game of exchange and collaboration, can result in a number of significant art events both in Vietnam and Australia.

The exhibition was held in Hanoi received good press coverage both in Vietnam and Australia, as well as support from Australian art authorities. Later on the project got a grant to tour the exhibition to ten different venues in Australia. The works from the 'Crosscurrents' project were shown in Lismore, NSW (Lismore Regional Art Gallery), Townsville, QLD (Perc Tucker Regional Art Gallery), Darwin, NT (24 HR ART Gallery), Geraldon, WA (Geraldon Regional Art Gallery), Toowoomba, QLD (Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery), Tewanten, QLD (Noosa Regional Art Gallery), Brisbane, QLD (Queensland College of the Arts), Gold Coast, QLD (Gold Coast City Art Gallery),Murwillumbah, NSW (Tweed River Regional Art Gallery), and Mildura, VIC (Mildura Art Centre).
