In 2007 The National Palace Museum of Taiwan participated in ARS Electronica Linz and presented the digitization project entitled 'National Palace Museum in Action'. Curator Lin Shumin wrote, '"National Palace Museum in Action" is an unprecedented project to digitize Taiwan's National Palace Museum. Many world-class museums have undertaken digitization projects which involve cyber museums, online museums, digital animations, interactive tools, and the integration of archives, exhibitions and education. The goals of the "National Palace Museum in Action" go beyond these. It is an ambitious plan to enlarge the horizon of multi-media platforms internationally through the Internet, to motivate mobile thinking and to establish a new image for the Museum. In short, the project intends to further explore the limitless value of Chinese culture through technology.'
