The book is published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same title, orgainsed by Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum in 2015.
‘"7000 Museums: A Project For The Republic Of India" is a major artistic statement by the artist Atul Dodiya. It comprises a comprehensive body of artworks, with oil paintings, water colours and sculptural assemblages. In this exhibition Atul points to defining moments of the nation’s history that have shaped the hopes and desires of millions of it citizens and the loss of innocence as both the nation and the individual suffer from various assaults.
