This is a personal note of two trips made by the artist to a village in Hunan where a form of language (Nu Shu), passed on by means of singing, drawing and/or embroidery among 'illiterate' village women, is in used for more than a thousand year.

Please note that an audio documentation of the language  (CD.001664) is also available in the library.
