'Non-Freedom of Expression Exhibition' was a project initiated by a group of people concerning the risk of censorship and the rapid increase in the number of incidents in Japan in the early 2010s.

Intended to introduce artworks that were censored by public institutions, the executive committee (表現の不自由展実行委員会) was formed in 2012 with members from different fields including journalists, researchers, art critics, and the first 'Non-Freedom of Expression Exhibition' was held in Tokyo, Japan in 2015.

This publication has documented the incident of the closing of the 'After "Freedom of Expression?"' at the Aichi Triennale in 2019. It includes a list of participating artists and works; a timeline indicating the events from the preparation of the exhibition in Jan 2019 to the end of the Triennale in Oct 2019; an essay by Arai Hiroyuki that summarised the incident. Statement of protest written by the committee and participating artists with essays by Nagata Kouzou and Yuka Okamoto provided.
