It is the catalogue published in conjunction with the exhibition New Paintings and Drawings: Bangkok Mosaic by Andrew Stahl at the 100 Tonson Gallery from 11 December 2003 to 4 January 2004.

Andrew Stahl is an artist known for his paintings and both the energetic spirit of his travels and his continual searching for new experience.

His intial work used mixed media, in combination with paintings and we could barely categorize his work as painting or as sculpture. With his eclectic interests, Andrew has developed and formed his style of art on canvas, consisting of forms adn symbols, a recollection of his travelling and inspiration from the East. Intense cultural contacts during his travel have resulted in creative energy that shines through his work.

Andrew's works, in the past several years contained various contents, atmosphere of strong color and high contrast. The background of the paintings also told stories, be it place or time. The works wree quite serious and filled with depth to the point where they could be seen as three dimensional. The paintings had mysterious atmosphere, full of overlapped lines, curiosity and loneliness.

Artist statement and biography are included.
