This catalogue reviews the tenth ARCUS Project (2004), which aims to communicate with local residents via art and cultural programmes. The project is comprised of four parts: the artist-in-residence programme, the internship programme, the communication programme and art seminars.
For the artist-in-residence programme of the project, five artists from five different countries were invited to stay and create artworks in the ARCUS Studio. In the year 2004, besides 2 Asian artists whose names have been listed under 'Artists', there were artists from Argentina (Santiago Cucullu), the Netherlands (Bojan Fajfric) and Denmark (Rikke Luther). There were also art seminars lectured by Naoki Ishikawa, Kenichiro Mogi and Katsuhiko Hibino.
Featured in this catalogue are outline of the project events, profiles of the participating artists, reviews of their activities at ARCUS and documentation of the art seminars, internship and communication programmes.
