Book published on the occasion of an artist residency program held in Chiayi County, Taiwan in 2007. Taking place from the end of July to mid-October in 2006, Art as Environment: A Cultural Action in Tropic of Cancer 2006 invites artists to reside in ten communities in Chiayi County. With the slogan “Artists as Residents, Residents as Artists”, the project involves interactions betweeen the communities and the artists, however the organisers do not anticipate any specific results. Writings (in Chinese only) by the artists are provided in the book.
