The present issue marks a new phase of Art AsiaPacific under the leadership of its new publishers, Simon Winchester and Elaine Ng. In the editor's letter, Ng writes that 'it is our hope and our pledge that in future issues we will offer readers - regularly and reliably - the most complete coverage available in print of the extraordinary developments taking place in the cultural communities from Turkey to Tonga, from Siberia to Saudia Arabia, from Tel Aviv to the Taklamakan and with China, Japan, Korea and India vast and steady in between'.

Featuring in this issues are reviews of 21 exhibitions of contemporary Asian art, as well as articles on individual artists and topics, and a news section reporting on upcoming events and developments related to the contemporary Asian art scene.
