Published on the occasion of a solo presentation of the artist at Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai, in 2018-19. Influenced by her spiritual connection with the region of Najd, with its strong religious and cultural heritage, colourful patterned fabrics, and distinctive architecture, Maha Mallah creates installations from found objects to examine the symbols of Saudia Arabian collective identity. Includes interview with the artist by Aya Alireza and Raneem Z. Farsi.
