This is the catalogue of Lee Bul's solo exhibition in Japan, showcasing her new installation Theatrum Orbis Terrarum together with 40 related drawings. In this work one can see Lee's continued interest in and exploration of the human body which she believes to be the most appropriate site for making statements about society, history, civilisation and culture. It is the view of Kang Taehi, contributor of the accompanying essay, that Lee chose the term 'Theatrum Orbis Terrarum' to suggest that the humanity is of diverse shapes and appearances.

An interview with the artist, an artist biography and a selected bibliography are provided.
