'Bopiarts - Old Street Cultural Festival' was held to revitalise and promote Bopiliao, a newly restored historic block in Taipei with structures dating back to the Chin Dynasty and the Japanese colonial era. It was organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs and took place from August to November 2009. It comprised art exhibitions, seminars, concerts, performances and film screenings. 'Fusion Folks - Contemporary Art Exhibition' was divided into three sub-themes: 'Traditional Codes', 'Reproducing Reality', and 'Invisible Bopiliao'. Other visual art components of the Festival included an outdoor installation by Chen Cheng-Hsun and a series of painted cow sculptures as part of 'Cow Parade'.

This catalogue includes background information on Bopiliao and individual entries on works in 'Fusion Folks'. Event calendar and information on other programmes also provided. With artist biographies and list of exhibited works.
