This special feature on Hong Kong art comprises two articles written by Clare Morin: 'Born to be Sold?' and 'The Magnificent Seven'.

In the former article, Clare Morin questions why local Hong Kong artists are being left out of the Chinese contemporary art market explosion. Victor Manggunio of the advertising agency Leo Burnett says that art shows lack PR and suggests glamorizing art shows with celebrity attendance. Conceptual artist Tozer Pak finds that Hong Kong lacks curatorial talent. Nick Simunovic of Gagosian Asia finds there is not the consensus needed among museums, critics, collectors, curators and galleries  to promote artists. Curator Eric Leung Shiukee of the Artist Commune finds that Hong Kong lacks a primary market, making it difficult to push into the secondary auction market. Johnson Chang of Hong Kong's Hanart TZ Gallery  hopes that big shows of Hong Kong artists will give the local art scene a collective strength. Kevin Ching of Sotheby's, however, find that artists need to be promoted as individuals and not as a collective.

In the latter article, Claire Morin profiles seven Hong Kong contemporary artists who she sees as "rising stars". The artists are photographed by Red Dog Studio, and a group photo appears on the cover of the magazine.
