An article discussing the influx of new galleries focused on local art in 2006, primarily Grotto Fine Art and Too Art. Contemporary Hong Kong artists face many challenges in local art markets, and in the past were given very little support. However, gallery owners, artist communities and other institutions including Asia Art Archive are promoting awareness and giving increased support to the local contemporary art scene.
