Featured in this CD-ROM are files containing information about the conference, Business and the Funding of Culture - Beyond West Kowloon, organised by SCMP Conferences, and jointly presented by the South China Morning Post, The University of Hong Kong and CitiGorup. The conference was the 8th in the Business and Economic Policy Seminar Series 2005/2006. It was held at the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong, on 7 November 2005.

The key-note presentation examined what precedents Hong Kong could benefit from other parts of the world. The first session looked at the problems thrown up by the government's approach of tacking the development of West Kowloon on to the development of property. The second session looked at alternative responses Hong Kong could consider to enhance its reputation as a world city, and whether these might in turn make it a better place to do business.

Proceedings of the Conference, transcriptions of the welcoming remarks and panel discussions, as well as biography of the speakers are included.
