'At 20 by 24 inches, there are to date the second largest Polaroids on earth. Each one is unique, a singular record of a specific moment. Caroline Chiu's photographs are large; the largeness spills over the rim as the imagination drifts beyond the macro-lens magnified images, to give an aura around enhanced views of small items or glorified fragments. With these Polaroids the real world recedes, giving way to selected details, blown up to blossom in front of the viewer.' - From introduction 'Patina of Time' by CHANG Tsongzung.

This catalogue is published on the occasion of the artist's solo exhibition of the same title. Four series of her works and essays by curator, critic, etc are included. Artist statement and her biography are presented too.
