Catalogue published in conjunction with the exhibition 'Cherishing Everything and Mirroring Life: Zhao Yuzhong's Works' held at Linda Gallery, Singapore from December 2015 to January 2016.
'These warm, elegant, bold and avant garde artworks are all made out of waste. Ms. Zhao Yuzhong does it out of thrift rather than the popular concept of "environmental protection". Having witnessed the hard times of China, she thinks it's a pity to throw things away. It's wonderful that herunintentional action provides people a place to discard things they think are useless such as back number and worn clothes without feeling guilty. Such complete recycling reflects Ms. Zhao Yuzhong's value—to cherish everything. People nowdays have deviated from that precious value for so a long time.' -excerpted from curator's statement
Includes images of artworks and articles by the artist, Hu Yungfen, and Liao Wen.
