This catalogue is part of a series of three exhibition catalogues published by the Museu de Arte Brasileira (MAB) on Chinese art. (The other two catalogues are entitled 'China: Art of the Emperors' and 'China: Art of the Everyday'.) With contribution of essays on the development of contemporary in China by Jean-Marc Decrop, Karen Smith, Britta Erickson and Zhang Li. Also included in this catalogue are brief introduction of each of the artists as well as artist biographies.
