The Xi'an Qujiang International Contemporary Art Festival was held from August to October 2009, in one of the world's four largest ancient capitals. 'China Revisualized' refers to Xi'an as a symbol of China's traditional visual culture in a contemporary setting while the title 'The Banner of Urban Culture' highlights the efforts of the city to become a national leader in developing creative talent.
